Corporate volunteering at Surrey Docks Farm
Are you fed up with paint balling and making river rafts? Why not come and do some volunteer work at Surrey Docks Farm London for your corporate volunteering day? We have lots of projects that we need a bit of help with. There are regular every day projects like cleaning out the ponies stable and making sure the pigs are fed, all the way through to building a shed or irrigating a field. The sky is the limit.
We host groups throughout the year and aim to make volunteering days as enjoyable and interactive with farm life as possible. A typical corporate volunteering day at the farm would involve getting here for 9:30am, coffee in the cafe, health and safety brief and then onto the project. There is a break for lunch (we have a cafe on site that can cater) and then an afternoon session rounding up at 3:30pm.
We can be flexible on group size, but aim to have groups working in teams of ten. Jobs can vary from mucking out the animals, working with the farm staff helping with day to day animal care and getting stuck into our ever present muck heap. This is quite a popular (although smelly) choice with smaller groups! A really worthwhile job that isn’t particularly glamorous but really helps the Farm.
We use corporate volunteering as part of our fund raising initiative and as such charge for the days events. The charge varies on group size, task requirements, materials used etc.
