Easter Holidays 2018
The Easter holidays are a great time to visit Surrey Docks Farm, which is free to enter and open seven days a week from 10am-4pm. The weather is getting warmer, we already have lots of lively lambs skipping about and we’re expecting chicks and goat kids throughout April. The Farm Shop will be selling animal feed (£1 a bag), the yard is open for you to enter and mingle with our goats, plus we have extra activities and clubs, find out more below.
Meet the Small Animals
Join us from 2:30pm-3pm on weekdays to meet our smaller animals up close. We charge £1 per person to enter our amphitheatre space (the grassy area next to our horsebox) where you can cuddle our rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and a variety of chicken breeds (plus chicks when they’ve hatched!).
No booking required, just turn up, but please be aware these sessions are weather dependent so do check the forecast if coming over especially!
Roll up your sleeves and get baking in the classroom! This Easter we’ll be baking fruity flapjacks, delicious hot cross buns and herby flat bread, using fresh farm-grown herbs.
Sessions are aimed at under 8’s supervised by their parents/guardians. Please allow an hour after your session ends for us to cook/bake your creations before you come and collect.
Tuesday 3rd April 11am, Fruity Flapjacks £4
Wednesday 4th April 11am, Hot Cross Buns £5
Tuesday 10th April 11am, Herby Flat Bread £4
Grant funding to support the costs of these sessions has now come to an end. We’re busy applying for more support but don’t have any additional funding in place for the Easter holidays. To help contribute to the costs of ingredients and staff, we have had to increase the price. However, we’re keen to keep these workshops affordable and accessible for all, so we will be making a loss this holiday.
If you’re able to please do consider making a donation to help support these sessions – you can add this at the checkout stage when you book your space. Thank you in advance.
