February Half Term 2017
Bushcraft, Family Cooking, Farm Club and lots of fun and games are planned for the February half term holidays! Scroll down to find out more and book a space.
Family Cooking Workshops (short sessions aimed at under 8’s and their families): Keep warm in our farm classroom and learn some new cooking skills as a family. Join Pat who has a delicious jam tart recipe to share on Valentine’s Day, then come back on Thursday to try out our simple bread recipe using herbs from the Farm and have fun making shapes with the dough! Finish the week with cheesy flat bread on Friday, perfect to tear and share whilst still warm. Sessions last around 30 minutes depending on attendance levels and please allow an hour for baking time – take a stroll around the Farm, feed the goats or enjoy a coffee in Piccalilli Caff! Farm Club (full day session for 8-13 year olds): Give your child an urban farming experience at Surrey Docks Farm! Full day of activities for 8-13 year olds including: mucking out goats, feeding sheep, grooming guinea pigs, collecting duck eggs and cuddling ferrets! Whole day session, 10am-4pm. Book and pay online in advance.
Bushcraft: Wilderness & Survival Skills (full day session for 8-13 year olds): Want to become the ultimate survivalist? Are you inspired by Ray Mears and Bear Grylls? Come to Surrey Docks Farm this half term to learn how to build your own fire, wilderness cooking, making shelters from plants & trees and knife work.Whole day session, 10am-4pm. Book and pay online in advance.
Our Holiday Clubs for 8-13 year olds run from 10am-4pm. Holiday Club Staff are contracted until 4:10pm and children will need to be collected between 4pm and 4:10pm. Spaces are limited to ten and prior booking is essential. Please note due to insurance purposes we cannot accept children under 8 years old. For more information see our downloadable FAQ page.
