February Half Term Activities
Half term is here and we have lots of farm fun family activities lined up for the kids. There will be a booked activity every day, as well as a drop in animal handling session from 2:30pm-3pm.
(Aimed for under 8’s parent supervision required at all times):
Cooking – Roll up your sleeves and get baking in the classroom! Sessions run on Tuesday and Thursday starting at 10am and 11am. Please allow an hour after your session ends for us to cook the bread/cake before you come and collect it! £2 per child. Aimed at under 8’s supervised by their parents/guardians. Nature Crafts – Join us in the classroom for some messy nature crafts! Make your own bird feeder or grow an edible cress field complete with scarecrow. Sessions run on Monday and Friday starting at 10am and 11am. £2 per child. Aimed at under 8’s supervised by their parents/guardians. Friday: Edible Cress Session – spaces left – drop in and pay in the classroom!

Wild Rumpus (5-7 year olds) An exciting new session for children who love to explore and have fun on the farm! This club gives children who are still too young for our youth clubs a chance to get behind the scenes and get up close to the animals, play games and enjoy craft activities while parents can relax in the café. Bushcraft: Wilderness & Survival Skills (8-13 year olds) Want to become the ultimate survivalist? Are you inspired by Ray Mears and Bear Grylls? Come to Surrey Docks Farm this half term to learn how to build your own fire, wilderness cooking, making shelters from plants & trees and knife work Thursday 18th & Friday 19th February Half day session £6 (10am-12.30pm & 1.30pm-4pm) or the whole day for £12 (10am-4pm). Ceramics Workshop (Aimed at 5-13 year olds, but families welcome) Join Local artist Sharon Virtue to learn how to mould and create with clay. During the sessions you can make anything from coil pots to robots and Sharon has the skills in clay to show you how. We will work with air dry clay, so that you can make and paint your artwork in one day. All materials are included. Tuesday 16th & Thursday 18th from 2pm – 3:30pm. £5 per child. Meet the Small Animals
Everyone welcome! The Livestock team will introduce you to our rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and poultry giving you the chance to stroke the animals and find out more about them. Sessions run Monday-Saturday from 2:30pm-3pm in the amphitheatre (or classroom if wet weather). No booking required. Drop in session. £1 per child, payable in cash.
