Admin Apprentice – Full Time Post

Based in the lively Farm Shop the Admin Apprentice will play a key role as the welcoming point of contact for all enquiries, either via the phone or in person. The Admin Apprentice will work independently to ensure the smooth running of the farm shop and will assist with general project administration.

This is an apprenticeship role that will give you a wide range of administrative and customer service experience. Through the role you will be supported to gain a Level 2 Diploma in Business & Administration.

Eligibility criteria and person specification:

• Must be aged 16 – 23
• Southwark resident
• Not in education, training or employment (no more than a maximum of 16 hours a week)

Youth Assistant – Saturday Role

The Youth Assistant will support the Farm’s Youth Coordinator with the planning, preparation, monitoring and delivery of the Young Farmers Club.

Young Farmers Club runs on Saturdays at Surrey Docks Farm and is a free club for local children aged 8 to 13. Members get involved with all aspects of the Farm such as animal care, food growing, environmental conservation, rural crafts and cooking. The Club is split into two groups with members attending either the morning (10am-12:30pm) or afternoon group (2pm-4:30pm).

This post is ideal for someone passionate about outdoor learning and environmental education and looking to progress in an environmental education or teaching career. Where possible the post holder will receive external training.
