Farm Club

Our popular holiday provision at Surrey Docks Farm welcomes children aged 8-13 years to enjoy a day on the Farm!

Farm Club activities include animal handling, a mixture of feeding, and mucking out of our friendly farm animals; nature based arts and crafts, bushcraft skills, fire building and lighting and activities such as pond dipping and exploring the foreshore.

Farm Club runs from 10am-4pm. Please note our Youth Workers are only contracted until 4:10pm so a prompt pick up is required!

Farm Club is now fully booked for the school holidays. We’ll be running more sessions in the October half term holidays on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th October.

Due to insurance and safety restrictions we cannot accept children under 8 years old.

Booking and payment in advance is essential. Please be aware, we are unable to issue refunds once booked.

Please download and read the Holiday Club FAQ’s and DEFRA Visiting Farm Leaflet by clicking on the button below, before you book.

In order to book your child’s place please complete the below fields so we no longer have to email you with parent/guardian consent forms.

Why are the holiday clubs £40 per session?
We charge for the Farm Club holiday sessions as a way to bring in essential income to cover additional Youth Worker costs and to contribute to the Farm’s running costs. We have increased the cost this year, over the last few years it was £35 per child. We aim to keep sessions affordable, but also have to find ways of covering delivery costs and raising income to cover our ongoing running costs. For example, our animal feed and bedding bills are approx £26,000 per year and that doesn’t include staff, any vet bills, rent etc!

Can we still visit for free?
The Farm remains free to visit and is open from Monday – Saturday from 10am-4pm at present.

Do you offer any discounts for low income families?
YES! We have a few ‘pay what you can’ spaces left for the October dates. Read on for details.
Our weekly Youth Programme remains free to attend thanks to grant funding. However, we don’t have any funding to support the Holiday Club delivery as such we need to charge for places to cover costs and contribute to the ongoing and increasing running costs of the Farm.
However, we’re still keen for our Holiday Club to be inclusive and we can offer discounts for those from low income backgrounds. We offer a limited number of ‘pay what you can‘ spaces per day. If you would like to book a space under this scheme, please get in touch via our enquiry form, providing information about the amount you’d like to pay, the session you would like to book onto and the number of children you are booking. Spaces for our ‘pay what you can’ scheme are offered on a first come first served basis, and we can’t guarantee there will be any left for the session you are hoping to book.

Why do I have to fill this form in each time my child attends a holiday club?
The information requested needs to be as up to date as possible in order for us to provide a safe service for children. This is why we collect this information each time a child comes to a session.

Why do we collect this personal data and what do we do with it?
The information collected enables us to provide a safe and accessible programme, by making any necessary adjustments for the individual children attending each session.
After the session, this data enables us to record children’s participation in Farm activities and help improve our offer. We might use the data you provide to contribute to youth programme monitoring, but if we do your child’s information will never be identifiable and will be made anonymous if shared with any third parties (e.g. grant funders).
We store this data securely in password-protected files. If you wish to retract your permission for us to store this, please email the Farm Manager your request at manager@surreydocksfarm.org.uk.
