Farm Gym

Summer drop-in volunteer project aimed at working adults who can’t commit to regular shifts, but want to help the Farm and get involved in physical activities! Farm Gym runs on Thursday evenings from 5:30pm – 7pm from mid-April to September.

  • Get fit gardening
  • Strengthen muscles shovelling muck
  • Help your community farm

Sessions will involve activities to get you moving including sweeping, shovelling, digging, carrying, raking, hoeing, pruning, mucking out etc.

This is an adult (18+) only group and due to low staff ratios we require volunteers to be fully independent.

You’ll need to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and wear covered suitable footwear for farm work. Gloves will be provided.

No regular commitment necessary*. We’ll email you the session dates each month, so you can sign up to one session or help us every week!

*Please note – to ensure safe ratios, we have a maximum group number and ask those interested to sign up to dates in advance that are shared on a monthly basis.
