Garden Volunteer
Surrey Docks Farm relies upon a team of enthusiastic gardening volunteers to help look after our green spaces and keep the gardens looking their best. We have a wide range of green spaces which need tending throughout the year, whatever the weather. We only use organic gardening methods and are always looking to get the most out of our spaces.
We’re now welcoming new volunteers to help with physical, outdoor, garden maintenance tasks on a Tuesday morning from 10am-12pm.
Volunteers will work across the growing spaces on the Farm helping weed plots, clean plant pots, trim the hedges, carry out tool maintenance, assist with compost production and more depending on the season, weather and needs of the Farm. Volunteers will be instructed and led by one of our experienced Horticulture Team.
Please be aware, volunteers will be working across the busy, public farm site and must be able to follow instructions, quickly take on new tasks and work independently in a relatively high risk environment.
If you’re interested in this role, please complete the below enquiry form and we’ll invite you in for an induction and explain more!
