We are excited to launch our new youth project ‘Greenagers’ this Summer.
Greenagers engages young people aged 14-18 in youth-led activities and social action projects here at the Farm on Friday evenings and Saturday morning and afternoons. We’re now offering new spaces for young people aged 14-18 to join the Saturday morning sessions, read on for more details!
Greenagers was set up to meet the needs and ideas of young people graduating from our Young Farmers Club, we are pleased to offer a progression route for these young people and maintain a long term connection at the Farm.
In addition to the Saturday sessions, all young people involved in Greenagers will have access to drop-in sessions on Fridays after-school. Here they can enjoy the Farm environment in a more social way all together.
We’re running a new 12 week Greenagers programme on Saturday mornings for those aged 14-18 who want to volunteer and learn about different aspects of Farm life.
Greenagers sessions will include food growing, animal care, conservation and rural craft. This is a free opportunity with a focus on having fun outside, meeting new people and gaining practical skills and knowledge. We’re happy to welcome young people completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award who are looking for a volunteer placement and are interested in outdoor opportunities.
Sessions run on Saturdays from 10am to 12pm with the first 12 week programme launching on Saturday 10th July.
Interested? Please read and complete all the sections of the below ‘Greenagers Volunteer Enrolment’ form and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible!
Greenagers is generously funded by British Land, owners of Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, and the Jack Petchey Foundation.
