In Summer 2021 we launched a new youth club called ‘Greenagers’ that was designed and established by our young people!
Greenagers engages young people aged 14-18 in youth-led activities and social action projects here at the Farm. Sessions include food growing, animal care, conservation and rural craft. This is a free opportunity with a focus on having fun outside, making friends and gaining practical skills and knowledge.
Greenagers was set up to meet the needs and ideas of young people graduating from our Young Farmers Club, we are pleased to offer a progression route for these young people and maintain a long term connection at the Farm.
Members meet for a Saturday morning or afternoon session with their own dedicated Youth Worker. In addition to the Saturday sessions, all young people involved in Greenagers have access to drop-in sessions on Fridays after-school. Here they can enjoy the Farm environment in a more social way all together.
Greenagers is generously funded by British Land, owners of Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, and the Jack Petchey Foundation.
