Volunteering at the Farm is a fun and enjoyable way to learn new skills, meet people and contribute to the community.

Volunteers get involved with all aspects of the Farm; such as caring for our animals, putting their green fingers to the test in the gardens, serving customers in the farm shop or supporting staff to deliver our wide range of community and educational projects.

The farm is lucky to have over 70 regular volunteers dedicating their time. All volunteers play an important part in the running of the Farm and are valued for their contribution.

Please be aware we have a small staff team and volunteer supervision is very limited. We do support and train volunteers in their roles, but do expect volunteers to be capable of working independently and able to work safely in a high risk environment.

The minimum age for volunteering is 14 years old (with the exception of the Youth & Support Role which is 18+). There is no upper age limit. If you’re under 14 years you may still be eligible for one of our youth clubs, find our more here.

We also offer livestock work experience placements for students who attend Monday-Friday for one or more weeks. Please see the work experience page for more information and to book a placement.
