Surrey Docks Farm have launched a new Mobile Farm project which enables us to bring farm animals to your educational or community event!

The Mobile Farm provides both educational and wellbeing benefits. We can teach people about farming and where our food comes from and/or provide animals for a therapeutic benefit.

We have our own horsebox which allows us to comfortably and safely transport animals and set up a mini-farm offsite for community engagement.

Our staff are trained animal handlers and will ensure the welfare of all animals along with ensuring public safety at all times. We will bring a range of animals for your event including goats, sheep, chickens and small animals. 

Our mobile farm is available for hire on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 

Locations within Southwark start from £600 for four hours delivery. Locations within neighbouring boroughs of Lambeth or Lewisham start from £650. Please note we limit travel to under one hour each way to ensure our animals welfare is prioritised. Please check journey times to your location using our postcode: SE16 5ET to see if we’ll be able to get to you in under an hour (as we’re travelling by horsebox there may be some road restrictions).

FAQ’s

• Can you attend private parties? We are not able to attend private events. Only schools, colleges, universities or community events.
• How far can you travel? We limit travel to max 1 hour and prioritise local events to minimise time our animals are in the horsebox.
• What animals will you bring? We can bring goats, sheep, small animals including chickens and guinea pigs. However the animals can vary as we always prioritise individual animals welfare and have to abide by any legislation e.g. we can’t include poultry when avian flu prevention zones restrict movement.
• How long can you attend? Our standard offer is for 4 hours delivery of the mobile farm. Depending on location, we might be able to stay longer but this would incur additional fees. Any sessions shorter than 4 hours are possible, but would still incur the same fees.
