Staff Vacancies

Surrey Docks Farm aims to engage the whole community to learn more about farming and food production. We are a working city farm growing and selling a range of fruit and vegetables, as well as eggs and meat reared on the Farm.

Thanks to generous funding from City Bridge Trust for the next five years, we are launching a new horticulture and outreach project starting in April this year. To deliver this project, we are delighted to announce two new vacancies at Surrey Docks Farm.

We are recruiting for a 4 day/week Green Mentor who will establish the Farm as an educational centre for food growing through outreach and engagement with the local community. This role will support the Farm’s longer terms aims to champion new and sustainable ways of growing.

We are also recruiting for a full time Horticulture Apprentice with match funding coming through Southwark Council and Inspire’s SEEDS programme. The role is a one year post with training provided by Walworth Garden, so that with the Farm’s support, the Apprentice will gain a Level 2 Diploma in Work Based Horticulture. Please note, applications for the Apprentice role must be made directly to Inspire as stated on the information below.
